Services Leading up to Easter, 2012
Sunday, February 12, – St. James’ will recognize the life and contributions of Absalom Jones in all services.
Sunday, February 19 – Mardis Gras will be celebrated @ the 5:30 service
On Tuesday night, February 21 There will be a Shrove Tuesday Dinner starting at 6 p.m. with a Service following at 7:30pm
On Wednesday, February 22, Ash Wednesday services will be held at 7:30am & at 7:30pm
On March 11th, St. James’ will hold one service @ 11; when the Bishop Dena Harrison will visit. There will be baptisms and confirmations with a reception for the Bishop, following the service.
April 1 is Palm Sunday where the 10:15 Rite II Service & 1:00 servício española, will combine at 10:15. This involves a Palm Sunday procession with a live donkey and is a must attend for children of all ages.
On April 5th, Maundy Thursday service will be at 7pm
On April 6th, St. James’ will offer Good Friday services at 12:00pm
April 7 is Easter Eve. This 7pm service is a “must attend” for children of all ages as various individuals will tell the stories of Holy week like you have never heard them before.
April 8 is Easter Sunday and will be celebrated by all four services!
